GRC 08 is completed, the winners are...
IEEE Graduate Research Conference, organized by EE department and Bilkent IEEE Student Branch was held on 6th March in Mithat Coruh Auditorium. In the activity, graduate students of Bilkent EE department used all their knowledge and experience to share their projects and researches with the audience.
Two types of presentations were held during the activity. In oral presentations, each student presented their topics using slideshows in 15 minutes within 4 sessions of different areas of research varying from signal processing to bioengineering. In poster presentations divided into morning and afternoon sessions, students had the chance to tell the audience about their research face to face using the posters prepared by themselves.

In the last part of the activity, Bilkent University EE department introduced the department and its opportunities to young engineer candidates. The candidates had the opportunity to learn about each professor of the department and their research areas.
At the end of the activity, best three of the conference and poster presenters, chosen by jury involving university academicians, were awarded by Bilkent IEEE Student Branch.

The activity was not only a day full of knowledge sharing but it was also an enormous full-day activity in which everyone who joined, involving professional engineers and students from other universities, made a journey to different locations inside their minds. In the end, everyone had a smile on their face indicating their satisfaction of spending their days in a place full of engineers looking for some excitement. Bilkent IEEE thanks all who has participated and made effort to be a part of this great activity and welcomes every student who are excited about sharing their knowledge to GRC ’09!
