Technical Committee
Bilkent IEEE Student Branch Technical Committee is composed of students who are interested in designing, manufacturing and using electrical circuits. Our main focus is on robotics and hobby electronics, but we also come up with projects that aim to establish good connections with the industry (technical visits); that encourage free, analytical thinking (brain teasers) and that enhance the knowledge of the students in the fields of science and technology (conferences and seminars). We design, calculate and solder
! The Technical Projects Committee focuses on many different types of activities and organizations throughout the year:
“Prot” Group: Focuses on robotics and hardware projects, makes up the core of the committee. Some project titles are:
Line Follower Car
Digital Drum
Sumo Robot
and more…

Brain Teasers: Enjoyable two-weakly puzzles with surprise prizes.

Workshops: A series of workshops titled “Introduction to Electronics” give an insight to all students (independent from department) about the fundamental skills of Electrical and Electronics Engineering who are willing to learn about this profession.

Another series of workshops titled “Hobby Electronics” gather hobby engineers and amateurs who have adopted the manufacturing of practical and handy electrical circuits as a hobby.
Technical Tours: Visits to prosperous companies like ASELSAN, HAVELSAN and TAİ throughout the year.
Visits to industrial fairs like CeBIT and WIN (World of Industry).

Participation in other universities’ project fairs and robot days.
Seminars: Popular Science Seminars (3 or 4 times a semester).
